Shortcuts & Navigation

Master these shortcuts and navigation patterns to use Boa faster and more efficiently.
These shortcuts work across all Boa workflows — Chips, Conversational Mode, Reports, and Briefs.

Quick Actions

Jump to workflows

Access common workflows instantly:
  • Discover — Press D to open Discover mode
  • Diagnose — Press A to open Diagnose mode (think “Analyze”)
  • Generate — Press G to open Generate mode
  • Forecast — Press F to open Forecast mode
  • Monitor — Press M to open Monitor mode

Search and navigation

  • Search — Press / to open search (find Chips, past results, saved insights)
  • Chip Library — Press C to open the Chip Library
  • Recent results — Press R to see recent workflows and results
  • Saved items — Press S to view saved Reports and Briefs

Workflow shortcuts

When viewing results

  • Save as Report — Press Cmd/Ctrl + R
  • Save as Creative Brief — Press Cmd/Ctrl + B
  • Copy results — Press Cmd/Ctrl + C (copies formatted results)
  • Share link — Press Cmd/Ctrl + K
  • Download as PDF — Press Cmd/Ctrl + P

When using Conversational Mode

  • New conversation — Press Cmd/Ctrl + N
  • Clear conversation — Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + C
  • Submit message — Press Enter or Cmd/Ctrl + Enter

When creating Briefs or Reports

  • Preview — Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Save draft — Press Cmd/Ctrl + S
  • Add reference — Press Cmd/Ctrl + I (insert image or link)

Chip Library organization

The Chip Library is organized by workflow:
  1. Discover — Competitor Landscape, Genre Deep Dive, Theme Explorer
  2. Diagnose — Creative Breakdown, A/B Comparison, Performance Diagnosis
  3. Generate — Creative Brief Builder, Strategy Report, Competitive Summary
  4. Forecast — Trend Spotter, What’s Next
  5. Monitor — Competitor Watch, Breakout Detector
Use the search bar (/) to find Chips by name or description. Example: Search “competitor” to find all competitor-related Chips.

Saved items organization

Keep your saved Reports and Briefs organized:
  • Tag by genre — Add genre tags (e.g., “Fantasy RPG,” “Cozy Puzzle”)
  • Tag by date — Use date tags (e.g., “Q3 2024,” “October”)
  • Tag by project — Use project names (e.g., “Campaign A,” “Fall Launch”)
  • Star important items — Mark frequently-used items with a star for quick access

Quick filters

When viewing results, use filters to narrow down:
  • Performance tier — Show only Top, Mid, or Bottom performers
  • Time range — Filter by date range (last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, custom)
  • Theme — Filter by theme keywords
  • Competitor — Filter by specific competitors

Common navigation patterns

Pattern 1: Weekly competitive review

  1. Press D (Discover)
  2. Select Competitor Landscape Chip
  3. Enter competitors and run
  4. Press Cmd/Ctrl + R to save as Report
  5. Share with team

Pattern 2: Diagnose underperforming campaign

  1. Press A (Diagnose)
  2. Select Performance Diagnosis Chip
  3. Upload or link to creative
  4. Review results
  5. Take notes on improvement areas

Pattern 3: Create production-ready brief

  1. Press G (Generate)
  2. Select Creative Brief Builder Chip
  3. Provide context and references
  4. Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + P to preview
  5. Press Cmd/Ctrl + S to save
  6. Share with team

Pattern 4: Monitor competitors

  1. Press M (Monitor)
  2. Select Competitor Watch Chip
  3. Configure competitors and alert frequency
  4. Save configuration
  5. Review alerts daily (press R for recent)

Search tips

Search for Chips

Use natural language to find Chips:
  • “competitor analysis” → Finds Competitor Landscape, Competitor Watch, Competitive Summary
  • “why did creative perform” → Finds Creative Breakdown, Performance Diagnosis
  • “create brief” → Finds Creative Brief Builder

Search for past results

Search your history by:
  • Keywords — Genre, competitor name, theme
  • Date — “Last week,” “October,” “Q3”
  • Workflow — “Discover results,” “Diagnose results”

Search for saved items

Filter saved Reports and Briefs by:
  • Tags — Genre, project, date tags
  • Title — Brief or Report title
  • Content — Search within saved documents

Mobile navigation (Coming Soon)

Boa will soon be available on mobile with touch-optimized navigation:
  • Swipe left/right — Navigate between workflows
  • Pull down — Refresh results
  • Long press — Quick actions (save, share, download)

Accessibility features

Keyboard navigation

  • Tab — Navigate between elements
  • Shift + Tab — Navigate backwards
  • Enter — Select or activate
  • Esc — Close modal or cancel action

Screen reader support

Boa is optimized for screen readers:
  • All interactive elements have clear labels
  • Results are structured with headings and landmarks
  • Visual references include descriptive alt text

High contrast mode

Enable high contrast mode in settings for better readability.

Future releases will include:
  • Custom shortcuts — Define your own keyboard shortcuts
  • Favorite Chips — Pin frequently-used Chips to your dashboard
