Advanced prompt techniques

Layering context

Add multiple context layers for precise results:
Show me [theme] creatives in [genre] from [competitors] over [time period] performing in [tier].
Example:
  • “Show me hero’s journey creatives in fantasy RPG from [Competitor A, B] over the last 60 days performing in the top tier.”

Constraint-based prompts

Add constraints to narrow results:
Show me [genre] creatives that perform well BUT avoid [constraint].
Example:
  • “Show me fantasy RPG ads that perform well but avoid slow, atmospheric intros.”
  • “Find cozy puzzle creatives with explicit CTAs that still feel warm and inviting.”

Iterative refinement

Start broad, then narrow:
  1. “What’s working in fantasy RPG?”
  2. “Show me the top performers with hero’s journey themes.”
  3. “What makes this specific creative the top performer?”
  4. “Create a brief incorporating these patterns.”

Comparison-based prompts

Use comparisons to understand differences:
What do top performers do that bottom performers don't in [genre]?
Example:
  • “What do top fantasy RPG ads do that bottom performers don’t?”
  • “What’s unique about top 5% cozy puzzle creatives vs the rest?”

Prompt troubleshooting

If results are too broad:

Add more context:
  • “What’s working?”
  • “What fantasy RPG ads are performing well in the last 60 days?”

If results are not relevant:

Check your genre/theme wording:
  • Try synonyms: “cozy” vs “relaxing” vs “calm”
  • Be more specific: “hero’s journey” instead of “adventure”
  • Add market context: “US mobile games” instead of just “mobile games”

If you’re not sure what to ask:

Start with a Chip instead:
  • Chips ask the right questions for you
  • Use Conversational Mode to iterate after

If results lack specificity:

Ask follow-up questions:
  1. “Why does this work?”
  2. “What specific elements drive performance?”
  3. “How is this different from lower performers?”
